Whilst Mel was planning to go via St.Catherines Hill, the old railway line track does get really bad in wet weather, so that coupled with the dreaded ’causeway’ road, leads him to have an alternative route up his sleeve!  Ned reminded him that there is another route back to the NQ from the top of Thorney Hill. If we went on the usual route to Burley, instead of turning right down the hill to Burley, we go over into the Avon Tyrrell access road and left into Braggers Lane, then Thatchers Lane to Sopley Junior School, Fish Street, left and right into the NQ!  (Ca. 20 miles round-trip).
