Terrain:      Mainly Tarmac / Some Gravel

The route to St. Catherines Hill is an ex-railway line, so dead flat (about 2 miles)… but rough, also the choice of Throop Mill takes us across open country, not muddy, but a bit on the wild side – just over a mile.  We will re-group at the Causeway to ride about half a mile and meet up at the Post Office Stores, end of Mathcam’s Lane.  This stretch requires extreme caution, so we need to take it as 2 groups riding as ‘strings-of-sausages’ for safety!

Apart from that, it will be 20+ miles, and as usual… no hills!  Definitely not for road-bikes – I recommend a hybrid with suspension and a soft saddle!
