We’re off to Tucton for free refreshments – usual route. ‘Father Crass-mess’ will be waiting to distribute tickets for Christmas gifts donated by Club members, friends and companies we’ve dealt with during the year…..and items charity shops couldn’tgive away! Thank you to all who contributed!
On our route we will meet the Christmas Fairy who will, hopefully, grant us all a Christmas wish? (I will ask her to turn me back into a ‘handsome prince’ – it’s no fun prancing about starkers on icy lily leaves (don’t dwell on this!) trying to avoid French chefs….and the thought of involvement in Spring spawning makes me heave!) Anyway, she will bestow more gift tickets in some magical manner known only to her and Harry Potter, before leading us to Ebenezer Scrooge at The Quomps.
Mr. Scrooge will demonstrate his generous side, handing out even more gift tickets for correct answers to quiz questions……and his invoice+VAT…Bah, Humbug! He will lead us to the lady-elves at Tucton Tea Rooms for liquid refreshments, then it’s back to the Castle for 12md. before the Christmas Fairy’s bike turns back into a pump(kin)!
The tickets you’ve won can be exchanged at the CK before they serve main meals or after lunch depending on timing, as they will be busy. If you’re not lunching, please exchange your tickets at the ‘Tombola-style’ gift table as you see fit.
