Cowes for lunch

A wonderful ride to Cowes with beautiful scenery and slight breeze. Ride broken down into four sections, 11-15-15-11 miles with long refreshing breaks in between. Well done to Gill for organising everything, congrats to Alison & Keith on their manual bikes for doing so well in the heat and to everyone else for looking after each other (and to Martin for sharing his chips)! Yes it was fairly hot and sweaty but not too hot. … we were even treated to a fly past from the Red Arrows while having lunch!

Only a few mishaps, lost bolt from mudguard stay, fixed with a zip tie, flying water bottle cap, never to be found, flying sunglasses, retrieved before being run over by a car, and an impromptu ⛑ fitting for Alison! Food lovely as usual.

Here’s the photos:

  1. Fab ride Thanks Gill and everyone
Enjoyed my dip in the sea when I got home! My helmet now fits perfectly too. I wonder why?
