‘Quiz Ride’ to American Diner, Boscombe Pier (Ned)

The plan is simple – to meet at the Castle approx 0945-1000am Weds
The intention is to ride the ‘usual’ road and sea prom route to the American Diner Cafe just past Boscombe Pier.
Ride length about 20 miles and any old bike will do.
The only difference is to set off in small groups of 2,3 or 4 every few minutes and self guide via the normal well used route on road and prom to the cafe.
Each group will take a list of the route (in case you have forgotten) complete with a question sheet of 20 Q’s to be answered on route. The questions are simple and are based on what you can see at certain locations, you will not need to enter any building. If you can’t see any obvious answer simply keep on the route to the next question and do not worry about it.
Upon arrival at the American Diner secure your trusty steed and enter the cafe for your usual coffee etc. Then as you await the others at the cafe, open an envelope that you will have been given and answer the next 20 general knowledge questions. Ned and Judi will leave last and act as sweep up for any stragglers.
The answers will be revealed at the cafe and at great personal expense a wonderful prize will be awarded to the winning group.
Once we are all fed and watered the intention is to return to as a ‘GROUP‘ Ride………….
For anyone that does not want to bother with the question sheet it is not a problem, either cycle to the cafe at you own speed, or with one of the groups, or with Ned & Judi and join the others at the cafe prior to the group ride back.
PS:
a. If anyone is worried about the cycle along the prom do not fret as you can select to ride on the coast road to the cafe.
b. Ned and Judi will provide the Route & Question Sheet and a little verbal briefing prior to leaving
c. Bring the odd pen or pencil
d. This is nothing serious its just meant to be a bit of fun and something different!
